SARIATAL :- At an altitude of (Approx. 1750 MT) there lies a beautiful picnic spot at a distance of 9 kms. from Nainital known as Sariatal. It consists of a beautiful lake and a waterfall. The lake is fed by Spring water. The villagers nearby use this water for irrigation and drinking. It is said that the Khurpatal lake is also fed by the spring water of Sariatal Lake . Recently the 11th finance commission has given Rs.1crore 30 lakhs for the development of this lake and due to this development the lake has taken a beautiful shape. You can visit by Trekking (On Foot) by a shorter route of (4.5kms.), Taxi or by package tours.
