A View From Jeolikot
Jeolikot provides the visitors with the joy of both the summer
comforts of a hill station and moderate coolness of winter in
the plains.

Kumaon craftsmanship. Jeolikot houses some ancient temples,

How To Reach Jeolikot
Air
:- Nearest airport: Pantnagar (56km/1 ¼ hrs) Linked to Delhi
by Jagson Airlines on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A taxi
to Jeolikot costs Rs 600.
Rail
:- Nearest railhead :- Kathgodam (18 kms/30 mins)
Tourist coming by rail mode can take Taxi or Buses from Kathgodam
or Haldwani. Taxi to Jeolikot is Rs 300.
Road
:- Jeolikot is 18 kms ahead of Kathgodam on NH-87. At Kathgodam,
continue straight along NH-87 to Jeolikot via Ranibagh, on the
way to Nainital. Once you turn left from Rampur for the last
1.5 hrs along the forested NH-87 via Rudrapur, you'll be accompanied
by golden sun-flower fields, mango groves sighing and hundreds
of monkeys. There is a petrol pump on the Nainital-Haldwani
Highway in Jeolikot.
The 9 p.m. deluxe bus from Delhi's ISBT Anand Vihar to Nainital
stops at Jeolikot.
After the Moradabad by-pass fly-over, take the largely forested
road to Bazpur, which will take you to Haldwani via Kaladungi.
From Haldwani (a large town which has joined up with Kathgodam),
take the Nainital route to reach Jeolikot. Most Delhi motorists
prefer this route.

Ranikhet express (Train Number 5013) departs from Old
Delhi Railway Station at 11 PM daily, it reaches Jeolikot
at 6 AM.

Two coaches are attached in Ranikhet express for Dehradun
daily. Bagh Express connects Kathgodam directly to Howarah
via Lucknow. Lalkuan Junction 56 Kms. from Nainital
is another terminal point of meter gauze line of North
East Railways. Nainital Express connects Lalkuan with
Lucknow while Kumaon Express connects Lalkuan with Agra
via Bareilly. Ramnagar 65 Kms. away acts as an alternative
outlet for Delhi & Lucknow.
Train No. 4319/4320 runs in between Kathgodam
and Dehradun bi-weekly, its days from Jeolikot are Monday
& Thursday while from Dehradun days are Sunday &
Wednesday.
